EV charger installation

Home EV charger installation in South East Queensland

Charge your electric vehicle faster at home — and, with solar, charge it from your own sunshine. Our licensed electricians install wall chargers from Tesla, Sigenergy, Sungrow and Fronius.

Faster home charging

A dedicated wall charger is significantly faster than a standard power point.

Charge from solar

Smart chargers can use surplus solar to charge your car instead of exporting it.

Installed properly

Load assessment, dedicated circuit and switchboard work by licensed electricians.

Charging speed

Single-phase or three-phase charging

Most homes have single-phase power, which supports a wall charger of up to about 7 kW — enough to add a full day's driving in a few hours. Homes with three-phase power can install a 22 kW charger, although the car's onboard charger limits how much it can actually draw.

Before installing, we assess your switchboard and total household load to make sure the charger can run safely alongside air-conditioning, cooking and other large appliances.

Solar EV charging

Use your solar to fuel your car

Feed-in tariffs are low, so sending your excess solar into the grid earns very little. A smart charger integrated with your solar inverter can direct that surplus into your car instead — effectively free driving on sunny days.

Chargers from Sigenergy, Sungrow and Fronius integrate with their own inverters for solar-surplus charging. The Tesla Wall Connector suits Tesla owners and can be paired with Powerwall systems.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a wall charger for my EV?

You can charge from a standard power point, but it's slow. A dedicated wall charger is much faster, safer for daily use and can be set up to charge from surplus solar.

Can I charge my EV from solar panels?

Yes. A smart charger integrated with your solar inverter can charge your car from excess solar during the day. Compatibility depends on your inverter and charger brand.

Will my switchboard need an upgrade?

Sometimes. Older switchboards or homes with limited supply capacity may need work before a charger is installed. We check this before quoting.
